About The Founder
Blessing Dada is a professional educational and technopreneur practitioner with over five years of experience. He has navigated a remarkable journey in his career, marked by significant accomplishments and a profound dedication to transformative projects. His transition from a background in biochemistry to international education was fueled by a deep passion for assisting others and enhancing educational opportunities in underdeveloped communities. He founded the Slum and Rural Aid for African Child Development Initiatives (Sarafacdi4farica) in 2019 to address the education disparities.
In May 2023, Blessing, at the helm of the TechUpRuralGirls (TURG) initiative, successfully empowered 30 vulnerable young girls and ten dedicated teachers in Ilawe-Ekiti. The program equipped participants with essential employability and digital skills, encompassing graphic design, web design, and photography. As a Carrington Youth Fellow (U.S. consulate), Blessing leads the impactful DigiGirls project, which empowers over 25 vulnerable girls in Ekiti and many more. In November 2021, he spearheaded the One-Book-for-A-Child donation project, raising over #450,000 to provide educational materials to 4000+ children, resulting in a commendable 3% increase in school retention rates in Ekiti State. Through Sarafacdi4africa, with numerous accolades and awards, Blessing has positively impacted more than 20,000 underserved young individuals in Nigeria and across Africa.
Blessing is pursuing an MA in International Education and Development at the University of Sussex, courtesy of a prestigious Chevening Scholarship, where he currently serves as the International Student Rep in the Education and Social Work school and union councillor for the Social Science Postgraduate school. These educational endeavours are instrumental in realising his long-term aspirations of implementing sustainable projects and establishing an Ed-digital hub through Sarafacdi4Africa, intending to equip over 100,000 children and youth with 21st-century skills. He is also inventing an AI technology innovator that can train over 200,000 teachers and students annually.
He is motivated by personal experience; Blessing’s journey has been shaped by three years of dropping out of school. This period unveiled his eyes to the challenges faced by millions of out-of-school children worldwide, as reported by UNESCO. This revelation propels Blessing’s unwavering commitment to contributing to educational development and making a positive difference in the lives of young individuals.
Aside from this, he has also been a leader for over 9 years, serving as the Electoral Chairman of the NSBS FUTA, Distinguished Senate President Ilawe Student Union, Youth Carnival President, General Secretary of the ESWLG etc., both in state and in university, where he also won a prestigious award as the most influential male personae.
Blessing aspires to be an educational consultant and expert in international development.
