The E.D Of Sarafacdi in the person of Mr Blessing Dada gave a review of the history, mission, vision, objectives and goals of the organization, Slum and Rural Aid for Africa Child Development Initiative (SARAFACDI). He went further to introduce the other executive members.

There was an introductory Session: where the Facilitators introduce themselves, and we had 14 Facilitators present, among them are digital marketers, graphic & motion designers, Robotics engineers, Web developers, etc. They introduced themselves by providing their names, tech skills and niche, place of work, the reason for volunteering, and the impact they hope to make on the rural girls. They gave an explicit introduction, assuring us that they are really set to impact.

The E.D. explained and presented what the training was all about. He made clear the targeted beneficiaries, which are 30 females whose age range is 14-23, mostly Adolescent girls from the Southwest local government of Ekiti State. Facilitators were able to explain and buttress how they can easily impact the community and our target girls. We went further to analyse their needs and their availability.

Drug/Substances Abuse Prevention Outreach

Drug/Substance Abuse Prevention Outreach

We started the canoe of impact on the 27th of September when we hosted a Twitter space to sensitize youths online before our onsite programs. On the 28th of September, our team which consisted of 25 volunteers visited 3 schools for an educative and advocacy outreach to form and create awareness about Drug/substance Abuse prevention, especially among teenagers. This program was held in collaboration with FAMSA-SOMMER in partnership with the Tobacco Control group Of Company Nigeria, in Sagamu, Ogun state. We visited Kawafunmi Primary school (over 25 pupils), Kawefunmi Secondary School (92 students) and Methodist Remo secondary school (We made 60 students and 2 teachers agents of change, and spread our impact to the 1500 students remaining). Drama was performed to help instil the concepts in their mind as stories aid memory retention (presented by the Tobacco control group and Sarafacdi Media team) and was also used as a strategy to educate the pupils. Stationeries like Books to help the students were distributed to about 50 students and 10 pupils to help support them in their academics. A pep talk was given to them about the importance of education as it could help them explore the world. The Result shows that: Both the students and pupils were very happy as it was an edutainment and interactive session, even the pupils from the primary school were eager to answer questions and give a summary of what they had learned.

Irasa community Outreach

On the 26th Feb 2022…
The Sarafacdi team decided to put a smile on the children of the Irasa Ado-Ekiti community. Two months ago, we visited the community for research purposes and we discover they lack school materials, poor parenting, and eagerness to be in school couple with gender violence.
Yesterday, we brought enough educational materials such as Biros, Notebooks, Textbooks, pencils, rulers etc.
In addition, we also brought expertise such as Gender Mobile , Emerald Matters , Goldheart Foundation , Build a child initiative among others.
Together we will reduce out-of-school children, gender violence and provide adequate access to quality education amidst the rural, slum, remote and marginalised areas of Nigeria.
We build future leaders at all cost..

Irasa Community Primary School Outreach in celebration of Children’s Day.
On 26th May 2022, the Sarafacdi team visited Irasa community primary school in collaboration with @Chisom Stephen, Christiana Titilayo Foundation – CTF , and @build a child initiative to create equal learning opportunities for every child by providing the school children with education relive materials that include Sanders, Textbook, Notebooks, Dustbins etc.
Moreover, we deliberated on the theme:Investing in our future means investing in our children, and also ensuring that son of no man can become somebody in life (mind shift).
Children are the flowers from paradise. However, we should make this world a safe and pleasant spot for our kids.
Happy children’s day.
